There is another point in the "history," and here I am probably echoing Natalie's post, concerning swords with names other than Excalibur, and prophesying Eagles. A strange mixture of legend, myth and Christianity which is later echoed by Chaucer in his Courtly Romances. However, Chaucer wasnt writing in a monastry!
